Chorus Dei & Orquestra was founded in 2001 in the city of Hortolândia-SP, metropolitan region of Campinas, with the objective of integrating the community that attends the Adventist University Center (UNASP - Hortolândia campus), being a movement of human development in the artistic and social, emotional and spiritual.
Since its founding in 2001, the group has been led by maestro David Wesley, who has a very strong team of collaborators in the good organization of this ministry. Among them, Prof. Marlise Garcia as a pianist.
PRESENTATIONS
In these almost 18 years of movement, the group has already performed in several cities and states of the country.
In the most varied situations, such as concerts in theaters, churches, congresses, hospitals, schools, shopping malls and even in squares and streets, presentations have taken place in several capitals of the country, such as Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Salvador, Recife, João Pessoa , Brasília, São Paulo, among many other cities in the interior.
MUSIC STYLE
One of the hallmarks of Chorus Dei is the musical style, which rescues the repertoire of the great classics of 20th century sacred music, Negro spirituals, and selected current compositions in new arrangements and creative ideas, uniting the best in musical art between the old and new, rescuing the power of praise.

FORMATION
Chorus Dei is made up of a choir and an orchestra, whose 90 choristers and 25 instrumentalist musicians are all volunteers, and of the most varied age groups and social distribution in their community. Liberal professionals, UNASP professors, students, housewives, and so many others join with the spirit of service in this impressive music ministry.
The group also develops social work not only internally, but also in the community, in different neighborhoods of the city, with a donation campaign and bazaar “Cabide do Bem” providing clothes, shoes, housewares, appliances, and many other useful materials at very low prices. , especially in underserved areas.
Another focus of social action is the “Courus Dei Natural Cooking Course”, which is now in its 4th edition, with lectures and a practical course on eating and healthy living, and the launch of explanatory handouts and recipes for each course, impacting the quality of the food. lives of many over the years.
